Ascott Orchard is a business serviced residence hotel in the heart of the fashionable Orchard Road area of Singapore. The Client enlisted the services of CL3 on the basis of the company our experience in designing high end, compact, residential units in Asia.
The hotel design takes inspiration from the retail environment and uses high fashion as the base concept, elaborating the fine detail and tailoring of fashion to create a unique hotel interior which incorporates fashion photography, mannequins and retail display.
The hotel interior includes the lobby and reception, gym, recreation room, terrace garden, and 220 rooms over 20 floors. Using a simple material palette of soft grey tones with some high contrast elements, the design is monochromatic and sophisticated.
Most of the units feature one or two bedroom suites with adjoining living room and open pantry. Custom designed built-in furniture gives an efficient and integrated look with attention to detail.
